Our school<\/span><\/h1>\n

The English School<\/strong>, the first English school founded in Donostia, began its journey 56 years ago when it opened its doors in Villa Carmen (Ategorrieta) in 1967. It moved to Villa Ashun in 1975. In 1978, the Cooperative Society of Parents and Mothers became the school’s owner, remaining in the building under a rental agreement.<\/p>\n

It was the beginning of a continuous evolution, constructing a unique and essential educational project for the city of San Sebasti\u00e1n. Our primary instruction language is English, and personalised attention is our main focus.<\/p>\n

1994 The English School also started teaching ESO (Secondary Education)<\/strong>. They acquired the Txabol Berri building adjacent to Villa Ashun to accommodate this.<\/p>\n

Multidisciplinary creativity is a core pillar of the project, which led to establishing our own Official Music School<\/strong> in 1995, offering theoretical and practical teaching of a wide range of instruments.<\/p>\n

Our project provides personalised attention tailored to each student, with a Special Education<\/strong> classroom since 1998 and a staff psychologist.<\/p>\n

In 2004, we fulfilled our objective of providing comprehensive education<\/strong> throughout the initial education cycle, from 1 to 16, by opening the cycle for 1 to 3-year-olds.<\/p>\n

This evolution was acknowledged in 2006 when the Basque Government declared the school a Public Utility<\/strong> agent (BOPV of December 13, 2006).<\/p>\n

In 2010, the Basque Government selected us as a Trilingual Experimentation Center.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We embark on a significant new chapter by acquiring full ownership of Villa Ashun<\/strong>. The buildable area of the villa’s plot allows for an expansion that will help unlock its full potential.<\/p>\n

2024 The first phase of structural works was carried out by areas in the two villas and their exteriors. This progress marks the start of an ongoing development process, enabling future expansions of the facilities to better meet the needs of the school.<\/p>\n

The English School<\/strong>, primer colegio ingl\u00e9s fundado en Donostia, comenz\u00f3 su andadura hace ya 56 a\u00f1os, cuando abri\u00f3 sus puertas en Villa Carmen (Ategorrieta) all\u00e1 por 1967. Y en 1975 se traslad\u00f3 a la ubicaci\u00f3n actual, nuestra Villa Ashun. En 1978 la Sociedad Cooperativa de Padres y Madres acordaron con el propietario traspasar a esta \u00faltima la titularidad del colegio, permaneciendo en el edificio en r\u00e9gimen de alquiler.<\/p>\r\n

En 1978 la Sociedad Cooperativa de padres\/madres<\/strong> The English School, y el propietario acuerdan traspasar a \u00e9sta la titularidad del mismo.<\/p>[\/dipl_timeline_item][dipl_timeline_item timeline_title=\"1994\" _builder_version=\"4.23.1\" _module_preset=\"default\" global_colors_info=\"{}\"]

En 1994 The English School inicia tambi\u00e9n la ense\u00f1anza de ESO<\/strong>. Para ello adquiere Txabol Berri, contigua a Villa Ashun.<\/span><\/p>[\/dipl_timeline_item][dipl_timeline_item timeline_title=\"1995\" _builder_version=\"4.23.1\" _module_preset=\"default\" global_colors_info=\"{}\"]

La creatividad multidisciplinar es un pilar troncal del proyecto, lo que lleva a abrir las puertas de la Escuela Oficial de M\u00fasica<\/strong> \u2018The English School\u2019 en 1995, ofreciendo ense\u00f1anza te\u00f3rica y pr\u00e1ctica de una larga lista de instrumentos.<\/span><\/p>[\/dipl_timeline_item][dipl_timeline_item timeline_title=\"1998\" _builder_version=\"4.23.1\" _module_preset=\"default\" global_colors_info=\"{}\"]

Nuestro proyecto presta una atenci\u00f3n personalizada y adaptada a cada alumna y alumno, con una aula de Educaci\u00f3n Especial<\/strong> desde 1998 y nuestra psic\u00f3loga en plantilla.<\/span><\/p>[\/dipl_timeline_item][dipl_timeline_item timeline_title=\"2004\" _builder_version=\"4.23.1\" _module_preset=\"default\" global_colors_info=\"{}\"]

En 2004 completamos nuestro objetivo de ofrecer una educaci\u00f3n integral<\/strong> en todo el ciclo inicial de educaci\u00f3n, desde los 0 a los 16 a\u00f1os, abriendo el ciclo de 0 a 3 a\u00f1os.<\/span><\/p>[\/dipl_timeline_item][dipl_timeline_item timeline_title=\"2006\" _builder_version=\"4.23.1\" _module_preset=\"default\" global_colors_info=\"{}\"]

Esta evoluci\u00f3n se ve reconocida en 2006, cuando el Gobierno Vasco declara al centro de Utilidad P\u00fablica<\/strong> (BOPV de 13 de diciembre de 2006).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>[\/dipl_timeline_item][dipl_timeline_item timeline_title=\"2010\" _builder_version=\"4.23.1\" _module_preset=\"default\" global_colors_info=\"{}\"]

En 2010, el Gobierno Vasco nos elige Centro de Experimentaci\u00f3n Triling\u00fce<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>[\/dipl_timeline_item][dipl_timeline_item timeline_title=\"2023\" _builder_version=\"4.23.1\" _module_preset=\"default\" global_colors_info=\"{}\"]

En 2023 abrimos un nuevo cap\u00edtulo muy importante, al adquirir en propiedad la totalidad de Villa Ashun<\/strong>. Esto permitir\u00e1 al colegio reformas estructurales graduales para adaptar las instalaciones al modelo educativo del colegio.
